Welcome to the official site of "Proms in the Paddock". This unique and hugely popular event is organised by the Commercial Square Bonfire Society and is held each year in Lewes, the County town of Sussex.
The event features a raft of popular tunes from the Lewes Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band on a purpose built stage at the north end of the Paddock playing fields. The grand finale sees a fantastic firework display by CSBS to Tchaikovsky's famous 1812 overture.
This year we are lucky to be joined by the Sounds of Swing 17 piece big band, with four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones and a rhythm section
The event this year falls on Saturday 4th August with gates opening from 5pm. Tickets for the event can be bought from a number of outlets in Lewes and also from this site using Paypal. Visit the purchase tickets page for more information.

What else is going on...

There's plenty to do as before the music starts and during the intervals. CSBS run an excellent bar where you can stock up with Harveys, Pimms and a range of wines and spirits.
We run a BBQ stall where you can buy tasty burgers and sausages supplied by Richards Butchers of Lewes. Tea and coffee is on sale along with a great selection of cakes.
There's plenty of attractions to keep the kids busy including a tombola, sideshows and a sweet shop, plus a large open space for them to run around in.
